The Lowndes Model was built by Raven Arts not too far from where the real Lowndes was built. Raven is the way to go if you want a great model at a very good price.

Models of Lowndes Haskell Class Ships

The Revell models can be found on ebay.com if you search for "Attack Transport". They go for around $50-$150 depending on the issue date. The original model was released in the 50's and the last reissue was 1994. Here are pictures of the Revell Model:

The USS Haskell resin kits are available from Loose Cannon Productions for $50. These are about 1/3 the size of the Revell kit and more difficult to build. Here's a picture of the resin model:
